This leading fintech wanted a single source of truth data estate and reporting that can scale on demand, is cost effective and reliable to process its ever-increasing data.
Cardlink is a South Europe payment acceptance leader, collaborating with all major banks and with more than 250k POS terminals and 10k e-Commerce businesses on its network. Legacy infrastructure consisted of a mixture of siloed on-prem and cloud sources. Internal reporting needed modernisation to offer a better user experience. More importantly, Cardlink was sitting on a treasure of transactional data that it could monetise.
Working with Cardlink, we designed and developed a full-scale cloud-based Data Warehouse, integrating data across numerous legacy on-prem and cloud data sources and managing millions of credit/debit card transactional data on a daily basis.
Using an optimised data schema for fast and scalable data querying, as well as a modern BI platform, this new DW enables Cardlink to rapidly serve advanced insights and reports both internally and across its affiliates and customers. A capability that legacy systems would struggle to support. Development was split in phases, integrating each data source sequentially, ensuring early business value was visible where possible.
