We are proud to announce that Satori Analytics won the Gold Cloud Computing Award in the IoT Category.
It was a delightful and successful event, organized by BOUSSIAS at the House124 event space with over 25 participating companies.
Our own George Siaminos - Data & AI Consultant & Account Manager, Zacharias Siatris - Senior Account Manager and Elena Christodoulopoulou - Marketing & Communications Executive were there to receive the award.
This was a result of our work with FMCG giant BIC. Τogether we created the “Next BIC Thing” project. When BIC decided to improve its shaver designs based on real-world user insights, Satori Analytics contributed to the success of their “Next BIC Thing” project.
Personalized shaving experience for every customer, no matter their skin or hair type.
This is an innovative project that has received international recognition. Using machine learning algorithms, Azure Cloud technologies and IoT devices that support data analysis, BIC manages to create razors that meet the individual needs of each user. At the same time, new perspectives were created for the development of new innovative products and the improvement of existing ones.
Satori Analytics, in collaboration with BIC, proceeded to integrate IoT devices in the latter's products, recording multiple parameters during shaving. The use of sensors supported by neural networks produces data that gathers valuable knowledge, leading to a better understanding of the shaving process and the identification of factors that affect it. Each shave generates a wealth of data, which is transferred in real time to multiple, specialized storage areas, each of which has been optimized to provide specific capabilities, allowing the continuous collection and analysis of information on skin, hair color and hair density. etc. In total, data was collected for over 150 hours of shaving, 4,000 individual shaves and close to 1,000,000 strokes!
